Faroe Islands Photography Workshop for Youth
This is a photography workshop designed for youth aged from 10 to 15 year. We are going to teach digital photography in the real world in the middle of beautiful scenery. The main focus of this workshop is to learn digital photography camera settings in all kinds of light situation and imprive post photo processing as well as to produce beautiful landscape photo albums.
Remote and mysterious. Rugged and dramatic still yet so beautiful. The Faroe Islands has a magnetic attraction for landscape photographers, and for a good reason. Battered by the elements, towering cliffs rise from the deep sea. Huge waves are constantly pounding the shoreline, creating amazing formations. Isolated in the Atlantic Ocean, halfway between Norway and Iceland, National Geographic named the Faroe Islands the most authentic and unspoiled group of islands in the world. This comes as no surprise to us. Dynamic, constantly changing light and weather makes these islands magical for photography. We can experience 4 seasons in an hour. One moment it might be raining, the next we have warm sunshine on our faces. Turn around and it might be snowing or hailing. It’s fascinating and beautiful. In summer, the Faroe Islands is stunningly green and fresh. Puffins can be found and the temperature makes it a really comfortable time to visit this magical place.
Day 1: Arrival at Vagar Airport. Transport to Gjogv
You will arrive at Vagar Airport (FAE) where we will pick you up. After a short group gathering, we drive to the amazing village of Gjogv. This place is simply breathtaking. Wonderful staff, amazing food, and the location are breathtaking overlooking the surrounding mountains and fjords. We shoot sunset in one of the crazy seascape spots in Gjogv.
Day 2 – 3: Northern Faroe Islands
The following days we will explore the incredible areas in the northern parts of the Faroe Islands. Stunning locations are scattered around and we will be moving around in our van trying to maximize our photography options. The weather and light conditions are constantly changing and fabulous light can be expected at all times. We will make sure we are at the best locations at the best times! Places like Tjornuvik and Saksun are on the list, in addition to many incredible unnamed spots.
Day 4 – 6: Western Faroe Islands
On day 4 we will drive west towards Vagar. This is convenient for several reasons. Most importantly we are located in the middle of a long list of epic locations. We continue to be flexible and move around according to the conditions. These spots are simply incredible and have to be seen in person! On the final day we have breakfast at the hotel and say goodbye.
Youth with age of 10-15 years old are qualified to participate in this workshop. One guardian or chaperon is expected to accompany each kid throughout the workshop.

• If you cancel and the workshop greater than 120 days from the start date of the workshop, and the seats does not fill, we will refund you the full amount you have paid, minus a $300 service charge.
• If you cancel and the workshop within 120 days or less from the start date of the workshop, and the seats does not fill, the fee is non-refundable.
