Distinctions for Rising Star Photography Society Rules and Regulations

Photographic Distinction

1. Two photographic distinction titles to be awarded by RSPS Distinction Committee as follow:

   Associateship of RSPS (ARSPS)

   Any RSPS or alliance club member with outstanding achievement in photography may apply for ARSPS distinction title. Applicant is required to submit a panel of 12 prints or digital images to the Distinction Committee (e-mail to: rsps1688@gmail.com) for assessment. There is no restriction on the subject of image.

   Fellowship of RSPS (FRSPS)

   Any ARSPS holder for at one year and with exceptional achievement in photography may apply for FRSPS distinction title. Applicant is required to submit a panel of 20 prints or digital images to the Distinction Committee for assessment. The panel must have a theme, and must be accompany by a title and a statement of intent (no more than 120 words) that explains the purpose and objective of the presented works.

2. Application fee for photographic distinction title is US$60 (ARSPS) / US$120 (FRSPS).
   Payment can be made by PayPal (PayPal account: rsps1688@gmail.com), cash or check (pay to: Rising Star Photography Society).
3. Closing date for upcoming photographic distinction due June 30th 2020.
4. The applicant shall submit their works in digital format (minimum 1920px at the longest side, JPG, sRGB) to Distinction Committee by mail or e-mail before the closing.
5. Successful applicants will be notified within 1 months after the deadline and will receive a certificate. The RSPS distinction title can then be added follow the name. Otherwise, the applicants will have one more chance to submit their revised works for review with no additional change.
6. Any amendment or revision for these distinction criteria must be approved by Distinction Committee and Board of Director of RSPS.

Service Distinction

1. Two service distinction titles to be awarded by RSPS Distinction Committee as follow:

   Honorary Associateship of RSPS (Hon.ARSPS)

   Anyone who had contributed significantly to the administration to RSPS or to the photographic community for more than 3 years may be awarded Honorary ARSPS (Hon.ARSPS) title after recommended by Distinction Committee and approval by the Board of Director.

   Honorary Fellowship of RSPS (Hon.FRSPS)

   Anyone who had contributed significantly to the administration to RSPS for more than 6 years or who had contributed significantly in the international photographic community for a long period of time may be awarded Honorary FRSPS (Hon.FRSPS) title after recommended by Distinction Committee and approval by the Board of Director.

2. There is no fee for service distinction.
3. Service honor is not open for application. It is recommended by the Distinction Committee and Board of Director only. Upon approval by Distinction Committee and Board of Director, the service title can then be added follow the name.
4. Any amendment or revision for these distinction criteria must be approved by Distinction Committee and Board of Director of RSPS.
